At the risk of offending those who absolutely love Doctor Zhivago and Lawrence of Arabia and watch them every chance these classics are scheduled–well, not this month, at least not on TCM. We do have some WWI-themed movies on TCM in May, and as usual, all times listed here are Central.
–Two Arabian Knights (1927.) This silent film has two American soldiers squabbling over a harem girl. Stars William Boyd (later known as Hopalong Cassidy,) and Mary Astor (probably better remembered opposite of Humphrey Bogart in The Maltese Falcon. Friday morning May 3rd at 7:00 a.m.
–A Farewell to Arms (1932). Based on the Ernest Hemingway novel, stars Helen Hayes, Gary Cooper, and Adolphe Menjou. Airs Tuesday morning, May 7th at 11:45 a.m.
–The Big Parade (1925). The silent classic starring John Gilbert and Renee Adoree. Airs Monday night May 27th at 10:45 p.m.
