Mark the 100th anniversary of the ending of World War I with the Kansas Historical Society. In memory of those who lost their lives in the Great War, the bell at Stach School on our grounds will toll.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armistice signing to end World War I, the Mount Hope Cemetery will host ringing of the bells from the Singing Tower (campanile) at 11am on Sunday, November 11, the time the Armistice went into effect. A wreath will be laid to commemorate those who served in the war and are laid to rest at Mount Hope. All are welcome to attend.
Mount Hope Cemetery is located at 17th Street & Fairlawn in Topeka, Kansas.

Americans and communities across the nation will toll bells at 11 a.m. on Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, in honor of the service and sacrifice of the nation’s WWI veterans. The bell tolling will take place inside the Funeral Chapel at Mount Hope.
A brief ceremony in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armistice signing to end WWI will follow, featuring the We-Ta-Se American Legion Post 410 Color Guard and Col. Roger D. Murdock, Chief of Staff for the Kansas National Guard.
